G&A Engineering works across aerospace and experimental tech, from space food to hydroponics. Despite the innovation behind their work, their brand felt outdated and disconnected from what they actually do. The goal was to create an identity and website that reflected their forward-thinking approach, with a visual system that nodded to engineering precision while staying calm, warm, and future-facing.

Setting the atmosphere

The core reference was the glow of a rocket launch against a fading sky: cool, metallic blues transitioning into warm pinks and oranges. This became the basis of the brand, setting the colour palette and informing the visual forms. I wanted the identity to feel clean and technical, but not cold — futuristic and elegant.

Designing the mark

The logo is built around the form of a “G”, sliced to suggest the arc of a launch — a move that ties directly into the light trails and sky gradients used across the brand. The mark can exist both in its flat vector state or in a metallic or glass mark in reference to the materials G&A work with.

Refining the system

To carry the idea through the type, I customised the letterforms — reshaping the “e” to mirror the curve of the logo. It’s a subtle tweak that gives the type an instantly recognisable detail and a quiet sense of skyward motion.
