Anecdote is a startup that uses AI to turn raw customer feedback from across the internet into structured, actionable insights. When they approached me, they had an elephant logo and a rough identity that lacked direction or relevance to what the company actually does. The challenge was to build a brand and website that clearly expressed their purpose, translating messy online dialogue into clean, readable data, while giving them a visual world that felt both intelligent and distinct.

Logo concept

To make it more relevant to Anecdote's work with online data,I refined their initial elpehant logo by making its head into the form of a quotation mark. This small change became the foundation for the entire brand, introducing the core concept of punctuation as a visual representation of online voices.

3D punctuation as dialogue

The central idea, "From Dialogue to Data," guided the visual system. To represent the vast amount of online conversation, I used oversized, 3D punctuation marks. These tactile forms, such as commas, question marks, and exclamation points, visually embody the raw, unstructured nature of online feedback that Anecdote analyzes.
